Welcome back! We started off with Oahu and now we are moving on to Maui. My second favorite island in Hawaii. Funny story… It’s actually my favorite when it comes to the food though! Maui is a food lover dream.
Lahaina Cooler

I normally stay in Lahaina when I visit Maui. It’s my favorite town on the island. Lahaina Cooler is normally my first spot I hit up for breakfast. It is located in a great spot just two blocks off of Front St. on Dickenson Street. Open from 8A – midnight all week long, it’s also one of the only spots you can have a nightcap after shopping and cruising Front Street. They serve breakfast – lunch – dinner. My favorite is always breakfast. First off… their huevos rancheros might be the best I have ever had AND I GO TO MEXICO 3 TIMES A YEAR! They also make their own hot sauce. Emphasis on the HOT. You can actually purchase it on their site. I love this place. Super chill, great patio, and the perfect spot to start your day. My number one and two recommendations – Loco Moco and the huevos rancheros. You won’t be disappointed!
Baya Bowls

Just a block up from Lahaina Cooler on Waine’e St. across from the church is Baya Bowls. It sits in a parking lot with a few other food trucks. If you follow me on Instagram or read my blogs you know my love of Acai. THIS PLACE… It’s my favorite. Maybe my favorite in the world! They also have some amazing smoothies, juices, and salads as well. If you want a quick breakfast that is not only AMAZING but healthy, this is your spot!
The Gazebo

The Gazebo is located in the Napili Shores complex on Napili Beach north of Kaanapali, on Lower Honoapiilani Rd. It can be a bit of a challenge to find. This place is small. A literal gazebo. So wait times can be over an hour and a half, for good reason though. They have hands down (HANDS DOWN I WILL FIGHT YOU!) the best pancakes you will ever have in your life! There are Mac nut pancakes covered in coconut whipped cream, white chocolate, banana, pineapple, or just a combo! You can’t go wrong. These things are sent from heaven! Another one of my favorites is their fried rice plate. I highly recommend getting a half order. A full order is enough food for 5 people! Their portions are HUGE! The Gazebo is open from 7:30 – 2p. I would highly recommend getting there at 7. If not, be prepared to wait. Sometimes up to 2 hours. It’s totally worth it though!
808 Grindz Cafe

808 is located in Lahaina on Waine’e St. This place is a hit with the locals so be prepared for a wait. They offer a wide variety of traditional breakfast items (they have great eggs Benedict) but, they also have a MOCO menu! Now, I am a massive fan of the “Loco Moco”, a Hawaiian staple. They have several different moco’s outside of the standard traditional. This is a cafe. No frills. Just good food and good service!
Maui’s Best Banana Bread and Coffee

This adorable little coffee shop is located right off Dickenson Street two storefronts up from Lahaina Cooler. It’s small and only has three tables outside. This is my coffee spot. I normally will roll out of bed, and walk across the street half-dead and order in my jammies! Not only do they have great coffee, but they have some of the best banana bread on the island, outside of the Road to Hana of course! They have bagels and avocado toast as well. Great spot for those getting up early and want to hit the ground running!
Island Vintage Coffee

I posted about my love for this place in my Oahu food blog. Just wanted to let you know they have several locations on Maui too, in Kaanapali and Wailea! They make a mean cup of coffee and a tasty Acai bowl. I highly recommend the frozen mocha!
